Construction of a new biodiesel plant
Stadler+Schaaf supplied the complete electrical and process control equipment for the construction of a new biodiesel plant with an annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes and the associated tank and loading facilities.
Scope of supplies and services
The contract included the detail engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the complete electrical and process control equipment and the installation and commissioning of the I&C devices. The monitoring and control of the plant is performed entirely via a PCS7 process control system, from the raw material storage tank farm to the loading of the finished product.
Special features
Profibus-PA fieldbus system for a total of 150 I&C devices, integration of third-party systems – gas warning system, tank level measurement system – via Profibus-DP, remote IO systems in category zone 1.
Project duration
This project was completed in a period of around 7 months with a total of approximately 3,000 hours of engineering and 9,000 hours of installation and commissioning.
