For more than 15 years Stadler+Schaaf has been planning and supplying complete electrical and automation equipment and facilities for oil and gas extraction and processing.
Project example:
Electrical and process control equipment for natural gas dehydration plants
On behalf of a well-known international customer, Stadler+Schaaf carried out a project for the modernisation of the complete electrical and process control equipment of more than 10 natural gas dehydration plants and tank wagon loading facilities in parallel.
Scope of supplies and services
The contract included the detail engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the whole I&C equipment, as well as the low voltage switchgear, including the renewal of sensors and actuating devices. In addition, as the general contractor Stadler + Schaaf was responsible for the coordination and project management of the other trades involved, such as pipeline construction, structural steelwork and building work.
Special features
Very short installation and commissioning times during the annual shutdown, individual plants up to 70 km away from each other, simultaneous commissioning of several systems using different teams, increased safety requirements as a result of gas hazards, and working in hazardous plant areas.
Project duration
This project was completed in a period of around 15 months with a total of approximately 12,000 hours of engineering and 25,000 hours of installation and commissioning.
Other projects
Automation of natural gas compressors (piston and turbo-compressors)
Control systems for underground storage facilities
Inventory and I&C detail engineering for oil extraction plants
Detail engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the complete electrical equipment for gas compressor stations
